A SCADA application integrated with SAP, producing based on recipes and work orders, was commissioned at KALEKIM's Mardin plant by our partner VARLIK Makina in 2022. KALEKIM is one of Turkey's leading building chemicals manufacturers.

The plant's production planning is prepared as work orders in SAP, and operators start production by selecting work orders and recipes through the SCADA interface. Completed work orders are fed back to SAP, keeping the production cycle continuously running. This process was fully digitalized through the inSCADA and SAP integration.

During the integration process, a JDBC connection was established between inSCADA and SAP's Oracle database. Data read from SAP was presented to operators through grids and forms in the SCADA interfaces. Production results were recorded in PostgreSQL and SQL Views were prepared to be readable by SAP.

Digital Production Cycle

Planning → Recipe selection → Send to PLC → Production → Result recording → Feedback to SAP — fully digital.

ISA-101 Design

User screens were designed leveraging the ISA-101 standard. Faceplate pop-up control panels.

Dual Monitor

The process is controlled via one computer and two monitors. Different interfaces are displayed on each monitor.
